MOVIE MONDAYS OFFER PARTICIPANTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO ENGAGE WITH FILM THROUGH A UNIQUE PERSPECTIVE. THE 5TH CORNER FOCUSES ON FILM LITERACY THROUGH WATCHING, DISCUSSING, AND PROCESSING FILMS WATCHED. THE FOCUS OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO SHOW RELEVANT AND APPROPRIATE MOVEIS THAT EDUCATE AND BRING AWARENESS ALONG WITH EDUCATION. MOVIE MONDAYS FOCUS ON FILM BASED AROUND THE NATIONAL HOLIDAY SCHEDULE: BLACK HISTORY MONTH, WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH, PRIDE MONTH, ETC. THIS 5TH CORNER PROGRAM PROVIDES STRUCTURED AND THOUGHTFUL DISCUSSION LEAD BY QUESTIONS FROM ADULT MENTORS. SOME OF THE OVERARCHING GOALS OF THE PROGRAM LOOK AT: BUILDING DISCUSSION, COMMUNICATION, AND LISTENING SKILLS. 

MOVIE MONDAY ARE HOSTED ONCE A MONTH. ONE THE THIRD MONDAY OF EVERY MONTH FROM 4:00-7:00PM. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN JOINING THE MOVIE MONDAY PROGRAM, PLEASE COMPLETE THE SURVEY BELOW. THAT STEMMED FROM CONVERSATIONS OF SALINE BUSINESSES, RESIDENTS, AND THE SCHOOLS. IN 2012, THE SALINE COMMUNITY SAW THE NEED FOR A TEEN CENTER IN THE COMMUNITY. THE SALINE COMMUNITY CHURCH OFFERED THEIR SPACE AS A CENTRAL LOCATION FOR YOUTH FROM ALL OVER WASHTENAW COUNTY TO ACCESS. THE FIFTH CORNER WAS ESTABLISHED AS A 501-C3 ORGANIZATION AND HAS BEEN ABLE TO OFFER FREE SERVICES TO MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL AGED YOUTH EVER SINCE.
