Jobs Training Program Sponsorship

The purpose of the Jobs Training program is to teach middle and high school youth the skills needed to be an effective employee and gain hands on experience interviewing and working for a local organization. In addition, it gives employer sponsors the opportunity to connect and engage with today’s youth and have an additional source for future hires. We see this program as a big “win-win” for our community.

There are 3 ways to participate in our Jobs Training Program

OPTION 1:
Provide the WORK EXPERIENCE portion of our program for 1 or more students

Activity will take place

July 13 – August 8, 2023

Following are the employer responsibilities:

  • Students will email you their resume and ask for an interview. They will follow up with a phone call to set up the interview with you or a member of your organization.

  • Conduct an interview with them. The purpose is to:

  1. Give them an interview experience.

  2. Have them receive some feedback on how they did.

  3. Set up their 10-hour work schedule. This should be work that you need done, i.e., cleaning, filing, making a form, setting up a room, moving things, giving ideas about programs, outdoor maintenance, etc.

  • At the end of the work period, have an exit interview with them to let them know what they did well and a few things they could improve.

  • Give us feedback on our program.

OPTION 2:
Provide Financial Support

We are asking for $100/student. You can sponsor as many students as you want.

OPTION 3:
Combination of Option 1 & 2

You provide a Work Experience and Financial Support.
